Espresso Coffee Beans

All our espresso coffee beans are hand roasted in small batches twice a week. Each 1kg bag of coffee is hand filled and labelled with the roast date. Your espresso beans will be delivered as fresh as possible, and should be used within 14 days to get the best flavour from them.

The use of espresso pods is very popular in Italy, and is growing rapidly throughout the rest of the world. These pre ground portions of coffee are simple to use and give excellent results every time. Each pod contains the right amount of coffee for one cup, ground precisely and tamped with the correct pressure.

Filter Coffee Sachets

Our filter coffee sachets are packed for use with filter coffee machines like the Bravilor and Technivorm ranges in the UK. Freshness is so important when serving great coffee, and these portion controlled packs ensure you only open coffee when it is needed. Each coffee sachet contains 50 grams to brew 3 pints of fresh coffee. Boxed with 50 sachets in each and including un bleached filter papers. Depending on your size of cups, a box of 50 coffee sachets will make about 550 drinks. Coffee creations filter coffee is roasted and packed on a weekly basis by the Nairobi Coffee & Tea Company in London UK, with more than 80 years of experience in coffee roasting.

Cafetieres

Cafetieres are possibly our favourite way of brewing fresh ground coffee. Cafetieres are the ideal way to serve coffee in restaurants after dinner, as by the time the coffee arrives at the table, the coffee has had time to brew.

Vending Coffee - Instant

Instant coffee is used extensively in the UK where coffee drinks are required quickly and with ease. This range of products can be used in coffee vending macines and instant coffee machines. Both our instant coffee and vending hot chocolate come from Fairtrade registered farms.

We weren't happy with the quality of the majority of smoothie mixes in the UK, so we have created our own mix that isn't too sweet and contains at least 40% fruit. Our Smoothie is made from the finest pureed fruits, free of artificial additives, colourings or preservatives. Our Coffee Creations smoothies are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as well as being 0% fat free & lactose free.

Masala Chai "spiced tea" is a beverage made by brewing tea with a mixture of aromatic spices.

In much of South Asia, Chai is more popular than coffee, and street vendors called "chai wallahs" are a common sight in many South Asian neighbourhoods. Chai tea has about the same amount of caffeine as coffee.

Chai, pronounced with a long "i" as in the word tie, is the actual word for Tea in many countries. The term Chai tea is sometimes used to indicate spiced milky tea as distinct from other types of tea. Numerous coffee houses use the term Chai latte for their version to indicate that the steamed milk of a normal cafe latte is being flavoured with a spiced tea concentrate instead of with espresso.

Chai tea has quickly become extremely popular in the western world as people are becoming exposed to it as Chai latte in coffee shops.

Chai latte is a rich and complex beverage that has been savoured for centuries in many parts of the world, especially India. In its most basic form, Chai is black tea that is brewed strong with a combination of spices and is diluted with milk and sugar. The spices vary from recipe to recipe, but usually consist of cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Chai latte is traditionally consumed hot and sweet. The sweetness is needed to bring out the full flavours of the spices.

Paper coffee cups are essential for any coffee shop and an expense that needs to add value to your business. Having your own branded paper coffee cups is great, but cup manufacturers will want you to buy at least 50 boxes of 1000 cups of each size, which most shops just don’t have the storage space for. Ripple paper cups are triple walled coffee cups where the exterior layer has a unique corrugated paper wrapping, which provides superb heat protection. The paper ripple of these cups, eliminate the need for a separate clutch or sleeve.

The price of ripple cups have come down over the last few years as more companies in the far east get access to the UK market.

We regularly get approached by cup manufacturers wanting us to supply their paper cups, however not all ripple cups are same. Firstly our ripple cups are a standard size which means they can be used with the excellent quality Solo lids (as used by Starbucks and other leading coffee shops). Each box has just 500 cups, which means they are easier to handle and store. Finally, and most importantly every one of our ripple cups are manufactured using high quality food grade virgin paper. We have had samples of cups with grey recycled paper in the centre layer, which might sound environmental, but is unfortunately illegal and can cause severe illness, which is usually blamed on the contents of the cup. Espresso Tampers & Mats

Espresso Tamping is a step in espresso preparation often neglected. The aim of tamping is to create a flat even pellet of coffee through which the hot water from the espresso machine will penetrate.

Espresso Tamping is necessary because the brew water is under major pressure (9 times the weight of gravity) and will find the path of least resistance through the coffee. If it does find channels that are easy to get through it will rush through these areas, over extracting the coffee surrounding the channels and under extracting the coffee in the channels. What flavour does get into the cup is bitter and astringent, and so much of the coffees potential good flavours remain behind in the filter basket. With firm and even tamping, the water has no choice but to flow through all of the coffee uniformly, and the resulting espresso beverage represents the best the coffee has to offer.

I know it seems obvious but simply cleaning your espresso machine every night will improve the taste of your coffee. A dirty machine will give a bitter taste to your coffee. Every time you make an espresso, the oils released build up on the filter basket and group handle. Without cleaning your machine you are in effect serving coffee in a dirty cup (something I am sure you would never contemplate doing). Your machine can never be too clean.
