Russian Caravan, a blend of China Keemun, Oolong and Lapsang Souchong tea, giving a full bodied tea with a light smokey taste.

Although a Chinese tea, Russian Caravan gets its name from the 18th century camel caravans that trasported leaf tea from the tea estates in China to Europe via Russia.

It took at least half a year to make the six-thousand-mile journey from the Chinese border to Russia, and the voyage was harsh.

Russian Caravan has a distinctive smoky aroma caused by the Lapsang Souchong in the blend, originally used as a natural preservative.
